Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Junior Telecoms Installation Engineer to join my clients growing team based in High Wycombe. Reporting to the General Manager the successful Junior Telecoms Installation Engineer will be trained to work as part of a team, responsible for the installation and maintenance of a range of communication systems, including fibre and cat 5/6 cabling, throughout the UK. Duties include, but are not limited to: Site surveys. Termination and installation of Fibre and Cat 5E/6 cabling. Install, programme and commission PBX/IP telephone systems. Train customers on use of systems. Obtain customer acceptance and sign off upon successful installation. Maintain and troubleshoot system faults as required on customer sites. Quality checks. To provide accurate and prompt reporting. Liaise with and update other departments. In order to succeed within this role, candidates must possess a basic knowledge of comms and cabling, be able to work to, and meet tight deadlines with a high attention to detail. A flexible approach to the working day is essential, and due to the position being field based this can include days away from home. In return, you will be given a competitive basic salary of between £19k-£21k per annum, company vehicle, laptop & mobile, plus staff bonuses and holiday incentives with training and development plans in place.
