Site Operative (Day Shift) Southampton £24,000 per annum + overtime available Full Time - Permanent - 40 hours per week (7am - 4pm) Do you have a background in warehousing, production, or a manual role? If so, read on! If so, we are looking for a Site Operative to join a large and successful agriculture company in their Southampton site. You will be joining a small team of 10 in their Southampton site with opportunities to progress your career with the business About the role The Site Operative will work 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday but will be flexible to work overtime (great additional rates) when required during business periods. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with general operative tasks to enable the safe storage, testing and export of grain and pulse commodities (i.e wheat, barley, oats & beans) Ensuring good housekeeping and hygiene of the site/buildings is maintained Preparing and maintain records and attend training on & off site to comply with site quality, health & safety rules and procedures Operating machinery across the site including the shiploader What we are looking for: You will need to demonstrate good communication skills with the ability to work well within a team to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You should be adaptable, quick to learn and comfortable with a variety of general operative tasks. Ideally you will possess the below experience and skills: IT literate with some experience of using Microsoft office Excellent communication skills Able to work at height, in confined spaces and happy to work inside and out in all weather conditions Able to cope under pressure and work towards deadlines Have a full UK driving license Self motivated, solution focused and effective team player What's in it for you?
