A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Service Director to join an independent Bereavement charity based in Southwest London.
As Service Director you will shape the work of the charity and ensure it is delivered efficiently, proposing and enacting a suitable policy framework for both statutory compliance and efficient working. This is a broad and varied role, combining: strategic planning and leadership; commissioning client, donor and community income and fundraising; and operational delivery that has at its heart an effective counselling service that meets the needs of its clients.Key responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in or strong commitment to widespread engagement in the voluntary sector and will have the ability to think strategically and to communicate the strategic vision. Good leadership skills, a willingness to "roll sleeves up" and the ability to motivate and develop a small team to deliver results is a must and experience of income generation, ideally with proven success in fundraising is key.
