What you will be doing

• Updating of cost forecast on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Update of project resource histograms.
• Ensuring that the forecast reflects programme changes each period.
• Ensuring trend register is maintained for any forecast fluctuations.
• Ensuring rates and pricing is current and in line with project orders and costs.
• Preparation and production of monthly cost value reconciliation in line with company procedures.
• Pricing and administration of change management under the Main Contract and Subcontracts.
• Administration and use of the Contractors costing system (Microsoft D365).
• Identifying risks and opportunities in the administration of commercial processes upstream and downstream.
• Sharing knowledge and learning with Assistant QS's on project.
• Reporting into the Project Commercial Manager and assisting in any other tasks as required by the Commercial Manager.
• Assist in preparation of Monthly Main Contract Application for Payment to Client by way of provision of Defined cost forecast each period.
• Assist in preparation of 'Bottom Up Forecast' where required (usually on a 3-6monthly basis).
• Assist in monitoring of planned vs actual cost across disciplines (Labour, Plant, Material, and Subcontract).
• Timely issue of contractual notices under the project.
• Issue of quotations and subsequent agreement of final accounts.

Who we are looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• RICS/ICES Chartered Member (Desirable)
• NEC & JCT experience required
• Other related qualifications desirable i.e. MSc in Construction Law, Cost control courses.
• Strong understanding and use of Microsoft excel and formula is critical.
• Knowledge and basic understanding of good commercial working principles.
