Harris Hill are thrilled to be working with a disability charity based in Surrey who are searching for their next Philanthropy Manager (Major Donor and Trusts).

They are needing someone who can build a major donor programme up and bring in 5 figure gifts. You will be line managing two trust fundraisers, so ideally you will have a bigger background in Major Donor than trusts.

Job title: Philanthropy Manager (Major Donor and Trusts)

Location: Homebased and 3 days in Leatherhead

Grade and salary: £37,000 - £40,000

Hours: Full time

Contract type: Permanent

Reporting to: Assistant Director, Supporter Engagement & Legacies

Responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Drive forward the strategic and operational plans for major donor and trusts and foundations fundraising.
  • Develop and implement a strategy and budget for each financial year to achieve a step change in income generation from their major donors and trusts and foundations income streams.
  • Research and make contact with potential major donors and trusts: spotting opportunities to engage.
  • Work closely with the events team to provide continued opportunities and re-engagement of their major donors through existing or new events.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to explore opportunities for income generation.

To be considered for this role:

  • You will have experience of bringing in major donors worth 5 figures+
  • Experience of working on or supporting on a strategy.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to tailor written and verbal content and style to a range of audiences
