This is where to achieve more from your career, by proudly building Britain's future heritage with us.The Pensions & Payroll Assistant Accountant assists the Finance Manager providing robust, timely and informative financial information and guidance to the Trustees of the pension scheme and Finance Director - Corporate of Sir Robert McAlpine ; The Pensions & Payroll Assistant Accountant, assists in the following financial disciplines:

  • Pensions Transactional Accounting
  • Payroll Financial Accounting
Responsibilities:
  • Transactions accounting of the Pension Scheme including A/P, Treasury and investments for the Pension scheme
  • Posting weekly and month payroll
  • Reconcile the SRM balance sheet accounts with respect to payroll, employment taxes and pensions
  • Support the audit of SRM and NH Pension, PRMS and Aviva Medical trust figures
  • Assist in the completion of other reporting requirements ONS surveys
  • Assist in the documentation & management of financial policies and procedures for the Pension schemes
Key skills and competencies:
  • Ideally AAT (L4) or Part AAT ;
  • JD Edwards and Blackline experience
  • Able to manage competing demands, adaptable, hands-on and detail orientated
  • Comfortable in dealing directly with internal stakeholders via telephone calls and conferences and in written form.
