We are proud to be partnering with a charity that delivers a free, weekly advice and support service for vulnerable migrants who have immigration, housing, welfare and health problems. They support their visitors to regularise their immigration status and move out of homelessness and destitution in the long-term, as well as assisting to address immediate issues such as access to healthcare
We seek a highly motivated, adaptable individual to provide temporary support until the permanent role is filled or you could apply for the permanent post. The temporary postholder will be strongly encouraged to apply for the permanent role. This role is for an immediate start and can be worked either 3 days per week part time or full time.
You will have responsibility for ensuring that the office and weekly advice session runs smoothly whilst we recruit to a permanent position. You will manage the organisation's day-to-day finances and oversee human resources across the organisation, supporting the CEO and board of trustees to provide good governance, ensuring the efficient operation of internal systems.
You will also assist with the administering of HMC's income and expenses and to assist in the preparation and monitoring of periodic budgets and provide financial input to the CEO and trustees to support strategic planning, fundraising applications, project management, reporting processes and board requirements you . You will also undertake day to day bookkeeping duties including processing payments and bank transfers, process Gift Aid claims and completing the monthly payroll.
- To help implement administrative systems, risk management strategies, finance tasks, HR management, data protection and internal policies
- To manage the logistical running of the office and weekly advice service for visitors (held on a Wednesday at separate premises)
- To help ensure the charity operates as a safe and compliant workplace within the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
- To support the CEO in ensuring that the charity is a diverse and inclusive workplace, with a healthy working culture, and to lead on HR and recruitment
