This Specialist Mental Health School for children and young people with additional neds, based in Swindon are looking for a psychology graduate (similar subjects desirable) to join their team as a Mental Health Support Assistant. The school caters for students between 4 and 16 with additional needs, primarily Autism and ADHD, with other needs including trauma, anxiety and depression.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring psychologist or therapist to gain valuable experience shadowing seasoned professionals from a wide array of sectors across psychology, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and clinical psychologists. You will receive industry leading training across the range of strategies and therapies needed to support autistic students. You will get to engage directly in providing positive therapies in 1:1 and small group sessions, with opportunities to grow your responsibilities into lesson leading sessions as your confidence grows.
