Salary ranging from £35,000 - £47,000 depending on experience plus additional benefits including an 8% potential bonus Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity at our Nestlé Purina Wisbech Manufacturing site, we are looking for Manufacturing Excellence Specialist s to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with an amazing team. As a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, you will be supporting the implementation of the Continuous Improvement programme within the Factory. You will focus on training, coaching and the deployment of TPM tools and methodology to support the successful transformation of the Factory. We re looking for you to lead and coach multi-disciplinary teams to identify and eliminate losses in one of our most challenging manufacturing environments. You will act as back up to the Line Performance Manager role and be developed as a successor to the Line Performance Manager role. A day in the life of a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist will work closely with the local leadership team, supporting the Production Manager and Line Performance Managers in building the competency of their team to ensure that key Factory results are achieved. You will focus on problem solving in the factory and have responsibility for delivering key projects in line with the factory OMP. Other key responsibilities include: • Support the implementation of Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE)/TPM master plan and execution of the Maturity Level Check at both factory level, and at allocated Local Leadership Team level. • Ensure Key Standard Routines are embedded within Local Leadership Teams and shopfloor by coaching and continually develop a standards mindset in your area. • Continually focus on Key losses and build awareness and competence on the key tools to build a Zero loss mindset in the Local leadership team and shopfloor • Benchmark with other factories within the market to capture, deploy and share best practices in the factory. • Support the Local Leadership Team to build a coaching culture driving engagement in our teams. • Manage key stakeholders and ensure consistent, clear communication within your own area and Factory. • Be a champion for the PDCA/SDCA (Plan Do Check Act / Standardise Do Check Act) implementation and continued support. What will make you successful You ll need to be passionate about helping to drive our journey towards becoming a LEAN enterprise. This is a hugely exciting, world-wide change to the way Nestlé operates. It s not in just any job that you get to play a key part in helping a world-leading company undertake the biggest change in its history! You may be just finishing on a graduate scheme or worked with a FMCG manufacturing environment for several years, applying lean methods with a great focus on improvement activities, either way you will need to demonstrate a technical understanding of a fast-paced environment. Other key attributes would be: • Educated to degree level or equivalent would be preferable but not essential. • Previous involvement delivering manufacturing excellence or improvement projects. • Demonstrable experience in collaborating and managing key stakeholders. • A CI related qualification (i.e Six Sigma Green Belt, SMED) would be advantageous. • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams. • Ideally a knowledge and understanding of TPM. • You will occasionally be required to work flexibly to support coaching and cross functional working. • A high level of resilience and being able to deliver results through others.
