Manager - Housing and Homelessness (Sanctuary Emergency Accommodation) Salary: £35,000Benefits: Employees are eligible for Medicash (a non-contractual benefit), 33 days paid holiday, discount membership of a local gym, (pro rata), and a long service award (after five years).Full-time: 40 hours per week worked Mondays to Fridays 8.00am to 4.00pmClosing date: 9am on Monday 5th June 2023Interview dates: tbc Our Emergency Accommodation offers short-term accommodation (22 bedrooms), as well as support, meals and laundry facilities. Staff work with other services to provide a tailored package for each person while helping them towards moving into longer-term accommodation. We are looking for a new manager to head up our Emergency Accommodation service and manage the Sanctuary building in which it is located. We are looking for a person who has a desire to help people who are currently experiencing homelessness. You may already have knowledge and understanding of homelessness, maybe through a previous job, as a volunteer, or through your own lived experience. You thrive in challenging situations and you will have the energy and drive to develop New Hope s Emergency Accommodation into the best possible service it can be providing excellent short-term personalised support to people who are experiencing homelessness. Able to see the big picture and develop strong working relationships both internally and externally, you will create a vision and strategy for the service and then ensure goals and targets are met. Focused on enabling people to move on from the Emergency Accommodation, you will be self-aware, compassionate, non-judgemental, and have a strong degree of emotional intelligence. You will have excellent skills in communication, prioritisation, and administration. You will be able to inspire, motivate, and encourage your staff team enabling them to grow and develop in their roles.
