The Opportunity- Managing a design department from the inception of a project through to its completion. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be tasked with the control and coordination of the complete design process involving the management of Interior Designers and internal stakeholders Mentoring, supporting & project allocation will be a key role. Pipeline reporting of management information on a weekly, monthly, quarterly Ensure all new leads are recorded on CRM and contacts updated Lead concept development in relation to design and creative outputs Commercial accountability through accurate scoping and quoting of work Develop and manage productivity and to continuously improve the design team s production capabilities Ensure that design and creative projects are delivered on time and to budget ensuring commercial success working closely with other departments to deliver best process and profitability Provide quality control over design outputs and production Establish and develop best practice with the design and creative team Work with other team members to deliver projects and activity to deliver against deadlines Understand the designer s role in the co-ordination and integration of project information and management Understand financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget Identify new business opportunities and arrange meetings Plan and prepare presentations Develop Online strategy for Interior Design requests digitally Represent the company at networking events, trade exhibitions and conferences Manage the interdepartmental communication and process to deliver the Design revenue stream Liaise with and support Operations Teams in the delivery of Design revenue within the Project Channel On-site / off-site project management as business requires Manage and maintain contractual arrangements with sub-contractors and/or clients in London Attend pre-site meetings, agree and sign off T&Cs of service delivery as required Champion best practice on Property Styling Develop robust processes for High Specification Residential Design projects , Consultancy ( fee based work ) Arrange and attend de-brief meetings for residential projects Responsible for departmental budget Communicating into wider business the performance of Design Team Management Communicate the Vision - translate into measurable goals and targets Develop skills of the team - identify individual training needs as well as encourage effective teamwork Embrace and encourage engagement with change programs Undertake regular 1:1s and annual appraisals and set clear KPIs, deliverables and objectives for the team Manage and motivate your team in all aspects of their role - give recognition and praise Mentor and develop your team Make your team accountable Share your knowledge with your team Responsible for training and induction of your team Salary: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Company events Company pension Cycle to work scheme Employee discount Gym membership Life insurance On-site parking Private medical insurance Referral programme Sick pay Wellness programmes Schedule: Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: Performance bonus Experience: Interior Design: 6 years (required) people management: 2 years (required) All applications are dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
