Full time fully remote working Income Billing Officer role available with an ASAP start. Up to £24 per hour Your new companyWe are proud to be supporting a large public sector organisation in Solihull within the Income & Awards Department. We are looking to recruit 3 Income Billing Officers to join the team on a full time temporary basis.Your new roleYou will be responsible for dealing with the effective processing of billing and collection with regards to Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates, Business Improvement District (BID), Housing Benefit Overpayments and Sundry Debts. You will handle billing enquiries from members of the public, businesses and other agencies via telephone and written correspondence, process refunds for any overpayments, trace debtors, refer customers who may need support to relevant officers. This role will also require you to assist with the implementation of new legislation and budget announcements, and to support the delivery of new technology projects by assisting with the planning, and carrying out testing and evaluations. This is a full time position and is offering fully remote working with and ASAP start.What you'll need to succeedThe successful applicant should be able to demonstrate previous experience and knowledge within Revenues & Benefits, knowledge of Local Taxation and/or a Debtors Computer system, proficient in processing data, experience of working to tight deadlines, good communication skills and able to work as a team. This role will also require you to pass a Basic DBS check, Hays will put this in place for you.What you'll get in returnThis role is offering fully remote working.
