Job Description

We are working with a public sector organisation for a temporary Health & Safety Advisor to join a team and provide a service across the County. You will be an experienced H&S Advisor who will provide H&S expertise across all levels within the organisation.

The role

Support the organisation to meet Health and Safety obligations.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders to influence and promote good H&S practice
Support the health, safety and wellbeing of operational and corporate teams
Provide advice, support and guidance to managers and colleagues ensuring H&S policies and procedures are understood - particularly manual handling, COSHH, noise assessment and accident investigations
Monitor trends, identify issues and assess and report risk. Propose and implement actions necessary to mitigate or address risk.

About you

Be qualified in H&S, NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
Knowledge of and experience of application of H&S concepts, practices and processes.
Sound knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation.

You will be a great communicator and have the ability to engage with key stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes, including influencing/coaching skills and an ability to develop managers approach to safety.

This is a full-time role, working 37 hours Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend working.
