Job Description

Main Purpose To successfully lead a team to achieve and exceed targets and objectives in line with business priorities and growth opportunities. The Head of Performance will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of our operational practices and managing our Trainers to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. You will be responsible for supporting, mentoring, coaching, and developing the team as required, ensuring our learners on Apprenticeship Programmes receive a first-class learning experience whilst achieving and maintaining high quality retention and achievement rates. Your success will be determined by the results that your team deliver. Working closely with the Head of Design & Client Programmes in planning programmes and curriculum in line with market demand and customer needs Working closely with the Commercial Team and Head of Learner Recruitment to ensure there is sufficient delivery capacity to deliver the commercial sales strategy. Managing the daily activities of your team and supporting with diary management Setting KPIs and monitoring performance (individual and team) Effective case-loading based on sector and geography. Carrying out observations of teaching, learning and assessment Working closely with the Compliance and MIS team to implement robust processes and systems. Keeping accurate records, monitoring, reporting on learner performance and analysing data Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders Supporting Trainers where intervention is required. Contribution to the department s SAR and QIP Applying intervention to ensure QAR and retention are in line with ESFA guidelines. Developing operational processes to ensure fit for growth. Partnering with the Head of Quality to maintain high standards. Recruitment to aid the continuous growth of the team. Supporting Trainers with CPD to create a high performing team. GENERAL DUTIES Share SCL s vision, mission, values and behaviours, and communicate them effectively. Represent the Company in promotional activities i.e. external events out of normal office hours as required. Attend various network groups and ad hoc meetings. Obtain feedback from learners and employers, analyse and make any appropriate improvements. To ensure contractual, operational and funding compliance across the whole learner journey PERSONAL SKILLS To manage own personal development in line with agreed annual performance objectives To ensure own training and development, including CPD, is up to date and compliant with relevant professional bodies. Experience of apprenticeships and operational management Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage a remote team of Trainers. Occupational qualifications and/or experience to a minimum of level 3 Process driven and ability to meet deadlines. Eye for detail Exceptional customer service skills and a real team player Enthusiastic and professional manner. Flexible approach. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Functional Skills level 2 in Maths, English and ICT. GCSEs English and Maths (C or above or key skills equivalent) Experience of working in high demand environments, to targets and tight deadlines. L5 Operations and Departmental Manager Experience of working for a Private Training Provider or FE/HE Establishment Experience of meeting audit expectations (e.g. ESFA) Proficient in OneFile Ability to analyse and scrutinise data and reports
