Alexander Daniels have been engaged by a leading business, based near Dudley, to help them secure the experiences of an experienced Finance Reporting Manager. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, this role will oversee all aspects of financial management, including internal and external reporting, budgeting and compliance, as well as the development of the accounting team. As part of the growth within the business, there is a plan in place where you will get the opportunity to step up into the Finance Controller in 12-18 months.What is on offer for the successful Finance Reporting Manager?

The Finance Reporting Managers responsibilities will include:

• Manage a team of qualified and part qualified accountants to ensure the accurate reporting of all UK registered companies.
• Drive quality and efficiency of monthly financial reporting.
• Improve reporting at a company level.
• Review variance reports with commentary, capital expenditure reporting and bad debt review, created by team.
• Support the Senior Group Financial Accountant with month end management reporting including consolidation for review by UK and Group Finance Directors
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of bi-annual budgets, monitoring performance and identifying areas of significance.
• Ensure quarterly bank reporting is generated, reviewed, and submitted in line with obligations.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departments within the group, including asset management, legal and marketing.
• Oversee the production of medium-term forecasts (3-5 years) appropriate for distribution to lenders.
• Manage the production of year-end financial statements at subsidiary level in line with FRS 102.
• Manage production of year-end audit deliverables and liaison with external auditors.
• Manage production of tax packs and liaison with tax advisors.
• Review of annual tax computation and preparation of accounts for submission.
• Manage and develop the finance team, providing coaching, training, and performance management as required
• Any ad hoc analysis/projects as required

The successful Finance Reporting Manager will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Experience with accounting software and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Proven experience in a management role
• Experience in the property sector is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Thorough knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience managing cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
