Job Description

Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Education and SEND Commissioning Lead to work within Barking and Dagenham Council.

Job Purpose

  • You will have a in depth understanding of commissioning and how it improves outcomes for children and young people with SEND and/or Health needs and their families and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the provider markets that operate in London, who deliver early help and targeted intervention
  • Ability to do robust need, demand, and supply market assessments and doing this in an agile way
  • Ability to develop robust service specifications, involving multi-agency partners in doing so, that balances the outcomes to be achieved vs input/output requirements in a way that can ensure a provider can be innovative but at the same time having enough 'outputs' to contract manage them in the future.
  • Strong stakeholder management and effective communication skills
  • You will be committed to partnership working and be able to work across with Senior Leaders across organisations, primarily within education
  • You will have demonstrable experience of co-production with children, families and stakeholders.
  • You will be able to evaluate the impact of strategic commissioning and be experienced in resource and financial management
  • You will be skilled in being able to analyse data which is used to inform the planning and commissioning of services
  • Strong project management expertise and ability to manage several commissioning projects simultaneously, and completing demands
  • Strong attention to detail
