Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: High Wycombe - both at Home & Office, (High Wycombe), Including travel to and from site and client meetings, as necessary
Salary : 35k-45k Depending on experience
Produce AutoCAD sprinkler design drawings in accordance with BSEN12845, BS9251 and company procedures. • Work towards achieving LPC qualifications as necessary for the company's LPC listings for commercial and residential sprinkler installations . • Carry out ongoing training as required to be current with revisions of LPC standards. • Carry out Design Review Reports in accordance with QA procedures on all contracts and drawings, which are subject to LPC approval. • Maintain registers of drawings received and completion of documentation for client contract files. • Produce block plans and hydraulic information as required for our service department clients. • Develop enquiries for sprinkler systems. • Carry out client site surveys and produce detailed reports with solutions for noncompliances found. Gather information sufficient for a quotation to be produced. • Liaise with Site Supervisor and Foreman to resolve issues associated with designs. • Liaise with Service Department Manager and Supervisors to ensure that opportunities for remedial work and spin-off enquiries from service department sites are acted upon. • Participate in company audits BRE LPS1048 Product & ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Qualifications: • LPCB Basic Design Competence Review • FHC Competence Review (Ideally) • Must have experience in the use of AutoCAD • Experience in the sprinkler industry is a must. • To be familiar with the LPC Rules for Automatic Sprinkler Installations Incorporating BS EN 12845 and associated Technical Bulletin
