Job Description

We have a number of exciting opportunities for strategically focused Commercial Managers to join our claims team to deliver the execution of our commercial and trading strategy.You will be working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver bold and ambitious targets, supporting our transformation to become a best-in-class claims function. You will be driving change and improvement through varied trading levers and making an impact to the business by delivering indemnity savings through your approach.We're flexible on location, providing you're within reasonable distance of any of our offices for occasional team meetings and development sessions.What will you be doing?

• Supporting the delivery of our strategies to maximise commercial outcomes
• Driving data-led performance improvement opportunities, working across the Hastings Direct matrix and external suppliers to prioritise, secure resource and deliver outcomes
• Managing contractual relationships with external suppliers to achieve great commercial and customer outcomes
• Managing risk and business continuity with business areas, developing appropriate strategies to mitigate threats
• Owning the commercial performance of a key component of claims
• Identifying trading performance improvement opportunities
• Developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with stakeholders

What are we looking for?

• Knowledge of commercial claim management is desirable (but not essential)
• Strong analytical capability and commercial aptitude
• The ability to translate complex data and concepts into a logical, structured way and articulate these concepts clearly and effectively is a bonus!
• Experience in evolving practices to drive and improved performance
• Strong understanding of how data drives the best decision making skills - ability to utilise this with stakeholders to drive compelling business cases
