TristoneNash are pleased to be working with a women s equality Organisation which exists to eradicate violence against women and girls and to support survivors, to appoint a Children and Young Person Team Manager for this full-time, permanent opportunity. Purpose: Based in the City Centre and working closely with the Support Services Manager, you will manage and develop projects and a team of Support Workers within the organisation's Children & Young People s Support Team to provide a high-quality frontline service to women, children and young people experiencing issues of VAWDASV. Responsibilities: Manage a multi-faceted team of Support Workers and Children and Young Person staff Responsible for day-to-day operation of the team and service Work closely with the other Team Managers, Services Manager and Director to ensure quality of service at all times. Provide accurate management information and reporting when required Provide regular formal case management and supervision of staff Ensure all new staff members receive an induction, training and are aware of and adhere to all policies and procedures Facilitate staff learning and development, including ensuring Support Worker Personal development plans are monitored and actioned accordingly. Review and authorise risk assessments. Act as a point of contact for all queries around support issues. Ensure adequate provision of services for all children and young people accessing the service. To respond and manage service user complaints. Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy of CYP and the service, in order to provide the best possible service for service users. Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of clients ensuring the service is accessible to all. Promote the rights of the child and children and young people s voice both internally and externally. Produce robust monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Services Manager and Services Director. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience managing a team of Support Workers Good understanding of children rights, children and young people supports services including, children s services, CAMHS, education and SEND. Have a good understanding of domestic violence/ abuse including the impact of domestic violence/ abuse on women and children. Knowledge of regulatory standards. Have theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse. Understand child protection issues, how to respond effectively to safeguard CYP and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues. Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic violence/ abuse and their children. Working Hours: 35 hours per week. Core working hours are 9am 4:30pm, usually with one late shift per week 11am 7pm. Weekend on call a couple of times per month. Answering the phone and call outs in an emergency.
