Business Development Manager I am currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded and well known property maintenance contractor. They are looking to take on an experienced Business Development Manager Job Purpose/Background: Business Development Manager with the passion and drive to find new business opportunities as well as managing the existing ones. Key Responsibilities: Your main responsibilities as a BDM are to generate enough volume & value of enquiries to ensure your branch/branches achieve turnover target. This should be made up of both targeting new business and account managing existing clients. As a BDM you need to fully understand how the branch is tracking vs these targets and put in place any action plans to mitigate gaps vs target. As the BDM, you must develop relationships with key clients ensuring regular contact whilst ensuring sufficient time is spent targeting new business. The above should be carried out accurately using the ERP system and working closely with your Branch Manager (BM) in the context of the Business and Sales Strategy with any opportunities that sit outside of this reported to Head of Sales. Knowledge / Experience: Self-motivated and driven to succeed. Resilient with a positive mind set. Confident and professional both over the phone and face to face. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Has good organisational skills. Has good PC skills using MS Office. Ideally has experience in developing both new business and account management. Ideally has experience in managing multiple clients. Ideally has experience in selling services to: Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Education, Health, Commercial and Retail & Leisure Sectors.
