We are working with a brilliant firm in Salisbury that is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join them, on a hybrid working basis.

Your role will include, but not be limited to:

Prepare and input client transactions onto systems
Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledgers
Reconciliation of bank accounts
Prepare VAT returns
Prepare quarterly VAT/EC Sales list returns for review
Support with the preparation of annual financial statements, including statutory accounts, partnership accounts and sole trader accounts for tax purposes
Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts
Other client administration including engagement letters and billing processes

Skills and experience required:

Experience within a similar position in accounting
Ideally part or fully qualified ACCA/AAT
5 GCSE's Grades A-C to include Maths and English.
Experience with computerised accounting packages inc cloud-based software
Understanding of accounting standards
